Great Bear starts Phase 2 drilling at Dixie
The funded C$45 million program will again step out beyond the four-kilometre-long Phase 1 grid drilling area, which has been responsible for generating the bulk of the high-grade gold mineralization to date.
The program will also include any additional infill drilling of the Phase 1 LP Fault grid drilling area that may be required and will also target expansion and infill drilling of the Hinge, Limb and Arrow zones that had seen less exploration activity in recent quarters.
Additionally, the next phase of drilling will test new regional targets at Dixie.
Ongoing drilling continues to intersect high-grade and bulk tonnage gold mineralization at the LP fault.
Great Bear says the gold in high-grade domains is generally seen as free gold in quartz veins and silica-sulphide replacement zones. Disseminated mineralization with high grades is also seen with lower grade envelopes (the LP fault) and are suitable for bulk tonnage mining.
