The Securities and Exchange Commission has won a court order to halt a long-running, ongoing alleged Ponzi scheme that soaked investors for more than $110 million. The commission is hoping to win disgorgement to repay the victims, many of whom were elderly retirees, while the head of the RIA where the alleged fraud was perpetrated claims he wasn’t aware of the scheme.
