Fastenal sales rise 10% but costs increase
Fastenal Co. said Tuesday its third-quarter net income rose to $243.5 million or 42 cents a share from $221.5 million or 38 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. Sales increased by 10% to $1.55 billion. A survey of analysts by FactSet estimated earnings of 42 cents a share on sales of $1.54 billion. Employee-related costs increased by 16.8%.
