Shares of Adobe Inc. ADBE, -3.14% fell nearly 5% in the extended session Thursday after the software company reported fiscal 2022 second-quarter results above Wall Street expectations and tweaked revenue expectations for the year. Adobe said it earned $1.18 billion, or $2.49 a share, in the quarter, compared with $1.12 billion, or $2.32 a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted for one-time and other items, the company earned $3.35 a share. Adobe said revenue rose 14% to $4.39 billion. FactSet consensus called for per-share earnings of $3.31 a share on sales of $4.35 billion. The company guided for fiscal third-quarter revenue of about $4.43 billion, and full-year 2022 revenue of about $17.65 billion. In late 2021, the company guided for 2022 revenue of around $17.90 billion. Regarding the outlook for the current quarter, the company cited the impact of the ongoing war in Ukraine and Adobe’s decision to end all new sales in Russia and Belarus, additional foreign-exchange headwinds in the second half of the year, and summer seasonality. Shares of Adobe ended the regular trading day down 3.1%.
