Byron Allen’s $10 Billion Discrimination Suit Against McDonald’s Is Dismissed
A federal judge has dismissed a $10 billion lawsuit brought by media executive Byron Allen against McDonald’s Corp. that accused the fast-food chain of discriminating against Black-owned media companies.
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles federal court in May by Mr. Allen’s Entertainment Studios Networks Inc. and Weather Group, alleged that McDonald’s used a discriminatory contracting process and refused to advertise on the plaintiffs’ networks on the basis of race.
